Although badly shaken from their loss in the first set, the Vikings were able to bounce back and equalize the match by clinching the second set in a grueling final match against the CAS Titans that lasted for nearly an hour with each set being hotly contested by each opposing team. The Vikings, led by Bianca Perales, were able to outlast their Titans counterparts.

The Vikings clinched the Badminton Women’s Doubles category in a near flawless run.

Mixed

What seemed an impossible task in the beginning ended in an inconceivable uproar in the end as the CAS Titans were able to snatch the championship for the Badminton Mixed category from the PTOT Spartans.

The victory was courtesy of Rosely Jane Yap, who seemingly got off to an unlucky start as they lost to both the Nursing and Medtech Departments in the first few matches. However, they were able to quickly recover, and were soon back on their feet, eventually facing the Spartan badminton team for the championship match.

The Titans were able to defeat Spartans in a manner that surprised most onlookers as they were able to secure both the first and second set for the Titans to dominate the championship match and clinch the title for the Mixed Badminton category. Even the relentless defense put up by the Spartan badminton team, headed by Mary Colleen Go, was not able to weather the attacks put up by the Titans, especially in the second set.
